We are looking for a Director of EA SPORTS Communications, joining our EA SPORTS & Racing Global Communications Team.

Reporting to the VP of Global Communications for EA SPORTS & Racing, the Director, EA SPORTS Communications will be a key leader on the EA SPORTS & Racing Global Communications team. You will bring important insights that support and strengthen the EA SPORTS narrative and an acute understanding of how the communications landscape is connected – across channels, audiences and geographies. You will be a key partner to EA SPORTS & Racing business leadership and Communications leadership, working closely with the internal Brand, Franchise Communications, Corporate Communications and Corporate Affairs teams, along with external stakeholders, including Licensing Partners and Athletes.

We're looking for someone who understands the intersection of sports, culture and entertainment, and can use that knowledge to position EA SPORTS at the center of sports culture through Brand and Corporate Communications initiatives. Specifically, the Director, EA SPORTS Communications will drive overall narrative development and messaging strategy for the EA SPORTS brand, earned media strategy and relations, crisis and issues management and executive communications for EA SPORTS & Racing leadership.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Reinforce EA SPORTS desired positioning through Brand and Corporate Communications initiatives, overseeing narrative development and messaging strategy, earned media strategy and relations, crisis and issues management and executive communications for EA SPORTS & Racing leadership.
• Develop and execute Integrated Communications Plans supporting EA SPORTS, partnering with internal Brand, Franchise Communications, Corporate Communications and Corporate Affairs teams, along with external stakeholders, including Licensing Partners and Athletes, as needed.
• Development of EA SPORTS narrative and supporting messaging.
• Lead proactive and reactive earned media relations on behalf of EA SPORTS, including coordinating media interviews with EA SPORTS spokespeople.
• Responsible for issues management on behalf of EA SPORTS, including situations related to Partners and Athletes.
• Responsible for developing and executing Executive Communications strategy and plan.
• Partner with EA SPORTS agency team, providing direction and needs specific to EA SPORTS comms.
• Ensure the culture and values of EA SPORTS are represented through all our communications.
• Be a collaborative Global Communications team member who plays a meaningful role in a strategic and innovative organization.

Experience and Skills:

• 10+ years of Brand and/or Corporate Communications experience, ideally with sports, culture or gaming experience.
• Proven track record of delivering thoughtful communications strategies and outstanding earned media results that enhance brand perception and reputation.
• Experience counseling senior executives to illustrate a perspective and influence outcomes.
• Demonstrated sports, culture and gaming literacy.
• Diplomacy and tact, with the ability to manage confidential matters.
• Creativity and an understanding of what makes a good story; conveys ideas to experienced journalists and other stakeholders.
• Understanding of the evolving communications landscape and the intersections across audiences, channels and geographies.
• Motivated, self-starting team player who can operate in a fast-paced and fluid environment, while simultaneously managing multiple projects across time zones.
• Process-minded planner who can develop plans, meet deadlines and manage multi-dimensional programs.
• Demonstrated strength in building relationships, while managing and motivating partners across teams.
