WHY DATA SCIENCE & ANALYTICS?
The Data Science & Analytics organization's mission is to increase our speed, frequency and acumen of making decisions at scale by instilling a data-influenced approach to building products. We cover a wide area of the data spectrum including analytical data engineering, product analytics, experimentation, causal inference, statistical modeling and machine learning. Aligned and partnering with product verticals, we use this tool belt to discover new opportunities and unmet use cases, influence and shape the product roadmap and prioritization, build data products and measure the impact on our community of players and developers.
WHY GROWTH?
As the Data Science & Analytics leader in this domain, you will be a crucial driver in shaping the growth of Roblox. You'll partner with multiple departments (Product Management, Design, Engineering, Growth Marketing, in addition to Data Science & Analytics), and levels from individual contributors to senior executives. You will turn fuzzy paths through a forest into paved paths for success for domains covering Growth, Recommendations, and Search.

You Will:
- Set a vision, direction and prioritization across multiple teams, developing yearly roadmaps.
- Partner to set strategy within the product group and align strategies across multiple product groups.
- Lead or collaborate on projects that span across product groups and functions.
- Drive towards an understanding of complex, interconnected systems to elicit causal impact.
- Facilitate collaboration across the company.

Basic Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Applied Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, Economics or other technical field
- 12+ years of industry experience in data science or relevant academic experience
- 8+ years partnering with product management and engineering teams
- 4+ years of experience managing and scaling teams
- Experience coaching teams using big data query/processing languages such as SQL, Hive or Spark to transform/manipulate very large datasets
- Experience in one or more scripting languages such as Python or R
Bonus:
- Advanced degrees in Computer Science, Applied Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, Economics or other technical field
- 15+ years of industry experience in data science or relevant academic experience
- 10+ years partnering with product management and engineering teams
- 6+ years of experience managing and scaling teams
- 4+ years of experience in startup or fast growing company, such as the tech sector
- Experience leading teams in domains of Growth, Recommendations, Search
- Experience partnering with Marketing and Growth Marketing teams
