WHAT YOU'LL DO
As Director, Business Services in NCSOFT West’s Global Publishing organization you will lead efforts to build a multi-year global strategy for games operation. In this role you will guide the long-term decisions for NCSOFT’s western franchise operation and lead organizational growth.
- Provide product-level, consumer-level, and market-level trends, analysis, and research to help foster data-driven decision making across the organization.
- Build, manage, and mentor a small team of direct reports
- Develop best practices to evaluate and cultivate market knowledge and consumer behaviors, and using the relevant information, drive cross-team alignment on NCSOFT’s game portfolio and development priorities.
- Establish corporate strategic, portfolio, and globalization planning principles and standards with clear definitions of risks and opportunities for live and in-development products.
- Prepare strategic reports, translating complex data sets and findings into clear presentations for a wide audience.
- Lead evaluation of products for western release and globalization.
- Identify and communicate strategic recommendations across all aspects of the product, including overall product design, business model, launch support and service road mapping, and marketing.
- Assist with forecasting product performance and guide creation of product goals for live market evaluation.
- Work closely with corporate development and investment teams to identify unique opportunities, tech, products, and/or other industry innovations that are relevant to NCSOFT’s business goals and franchise growth.
- Using data-driven insights and relevant market information, collaborate with senior management and executive teams to align NCSOFT’s strategy for games operation and growth
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, business, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- 12+ years of experience in game development, game publishing, product management, and/or data analytics
- 6+ years of experience working with data analysis and data visualization tools
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Experience leading teams and managing direct reports
- Deep understanding of the video game industry across multiple platforms and genres
- Strategic and creative thinking
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
- Familiar with SharePoint or other cloud repository sites
- Proficient in Tableau or similar data visualization programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
