Summary:
The Analyst works within the Knowledge Management team with internal clients to identify and transform the business needs into digital solutions. He/she works on projects for new needs as well as on operations to improve current processes.
Responsibilities:
The main and usual functions for this position are:
- Analyze business issues related to the digital solutions supported by Knowledge Management ("team workspace", "internal event", "local intranet", "engine documentation", "department showcase", etc.);
- Determine the real collaboration and sharing needs of the stakeholders beyond the wishes they express by analyzing their problematic, context and validating the needs at the origin;
- Analyze and synthesize information provided by stakeholders; produce written content for fit/gap: evaluate gaps bringing added value to the product for the clients and recommend improvements produced as a consequence;
- Identify and analyze the various digital solutions, and recommend the ones to adopt to answer needs; analyze costs, benefits, risks, constraints and opportunities to consider within the reach and scope of the project;
- Collaborate with the product manager to improve digital solutions;
- Be an advisor regarding the best way to use the tool, the navigation structure and the best practices to improve the tool;
- Contribute to defining and prioritising required features. Ensure approval of the recommended digital solutions by the stakeholders;
- Configure parameters and system options; create test cases and conduct testing; support the User Acceptance Testing phase (UAT);
- Coordinate, follow-up on activities and deliverable with the teams involved in the solution deployment;
- Provide technical expertise on business requirements for system functional specifications;
- Monitor market trends and best practices within their expertise field;
- Carry out all other related task.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field;
- Education related to Knowledge Management or information technologies, an asset;
- Certification of Competency in Business Analysis™ (CCBA®) designation from IIBA, an asset.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in business analysis or equivalent experience;
- Use and configuration of one or more collaborative suites;
- Experience in project management; • Experience in customer service;
- Experience with ITIL processes an asset.

Knowledge:
- Bilingual (French and English);
- Interest in knowledge management, collaboration and associated technologies;
- Knowledge of Office 365 (Teams, Outlook, Share Point);
- Knowledge of Atlassian products (Jira & Confluence);
- Good knowledge of business process design;
- Good knowledge of Requirement Management;
- Good knowledge of the analysis and conception of IT software and systems;
- Understanding of the project lifecycle and resources involved;
- Understanding of different project delivery methodologies (Agile/Waterfall), an asset;
- Knowledge of an IT service management product;
- Understanding of interface ergonomics and design;
- Basic understanding of IT infrastructure and it’s relation to applications and business services, an asset.
