Military Communications Subject Matter Expert - Customer Engineering, Defence

Your mission is to become our Military Communications subject matter expert (SME) with our Defence business unit. The role is centred around working with customers, partners and internal stakeholders to design synthetic environments that deliver rich and coherent synthetic content to meet project requirements and transform military training practises through use of data and modelling and simulation (M&S).
Our clients have large, multi-provider, complex communications networks underpinning their information capabilities. Any disruptions to the availability, integrity and security of data within the network, or the services running over them, can have an extensive impact on critical business operations such as communication links to armed forces personnel in the field.
Your Opportunity
- Maintain and share a deep understanding of digital communication technologies used by our customers, including their near term needs and current solution ecosystem, and how that maps to our solutions
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support the design and evolution of the our decision support business line (IO.Decide) with a focus on integration of third party content
- Act as a subject matter expert for the IO.Decide business line including the content ecosystem (data, components & interfaces) that underpins the capability delivered to our customers
- Help to identify and provide technical support for engagement with partners that can potentially provide components into the content ecosystem
- Work closely with our Product and Partner Success teams to help select and prioritise content and capabilities required to address our projects
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge in relevant specialist areas e.g. Current and future digital network opportunities, commercial products in the network communications domain, including common data standards and sources,
Why You're Made for This
- You have excellent analytical and problem solving skills, and are able to support development of complex solutions under project, technology and scientific constraints
- You have a strong digital communications background, e.g. previous NOC engineer or architect, network system consultant, designer or systems engineer
- You have a solid understanding of Network communications across central government, or ideally within defence related sub-branches of government such as MoD.
