As a Development Manager at Cloud Imperium Games you will be responsible for supporting our dev team with the successful delivery of projects, working across all areas of game development and collaborating heavily with our Leadership and People teams. This role reports into our Chief Development Officer and will be based onsite at our state-of-the-art studio in Manchester, UK. Founded in 2012, Cloud Imperium Games creates cutting-edge videogames that defy expectations. We’re currently developing Star Citizen, a record-breaking multiplayer online space sim, and Squadron 42, a cinematic single-player adventure set in the same universe. Identify, communicate, and resolve any risks and changes that may prevent the game development teams from completing deadlines with their leads and directors. Work closely with our People team and Managers to identify training needs and implement tailored learning programs and/or personal development plans as required. Anticipates and solves problems independently and collaboratively while developing collaborative relationships. Champion efficient practices and processes to the team, whilst providing motivation and ensuring a healthy team relationship. What would we expect from our Development Manager? Solid experience in project coordination or management within game development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Highly proficient with standard project management development tools and methodologies. Proactive attitude with mindset for streamlining and improvement. Comfortable with conflict resolution and distributed team building skills.
