Position Summary: Development Director
We are looking for an experienced Development Director who is passionate about both process and gaming, to provide daily production leadership to the project and its teams.

- You will work with an international team on AA or AAA games
- You will report to a Senior Development Director on one of our games.
- You will manage project and resource planning, balance scope with capacity, track progress, implement and improve processes, mentor people, and manage risks and mitigation.
- You have experience with content pipelines and feature development.
- You understand the iterative nature of creative processes and how to empower them.
- You have experience working with external vendors.
- You are a force multiplier for the team.
Qualifications:
- Candidates should be accessible either during the core hours of the EST time zone or for at least of 4 hours within those core hours.
- You are passionate about managing creative teams.
- Incredibly high degree of ownership and accountability
- Experienced with different project management methodologies, their use and implementation
- Agile certification or multiple years of experience driving, owning and navigating teams through scoping, planning & delivering iterative, measurable improvements
- You have 3+ years of experience using Jira
- You have 3+ years of experience working in AAA game development, and you have released 1 or more games while seeing them through all phases of the development life cycle.
- Experience managing cross disciplinary / functional teams through different aspects and components of game’s development.
- You have experience managing internal and external teams; you have proven conflict resolution tools in your tool belt.
- You are comfortable talking across all levels of an organization; you always know the status of your team(s) and can visualize that status for any audience.
- You have a strong understanding of the complexities and requirements of game production and how to manage them.
Responsibilities:
- Be a leader. Own and be accountable for every aspect of a project's execution.
- Establish direction & strategy for one or more teams within a project while ensuring alignment with internal & external leadership.
- Monitor & adjust capacity plans for your team(s) to address skill gaps and identify funding needs.
- Be the point of escalation for conflict management and problem solving for your team(s).
- Partner with junior Development Directors to train them and provide mentorship.
- Help Establish and maintain team health standards through team leaders.
- Help Identify and implement process improvement initiatives across a project.
- Anticipate and solve project-wide dependencies between your team(s) and external groups.
