About the role:
This intern will sit on the Content Team within Developer Relations which covers 3 core pods: Developer Partnerships, Developer Excellence, and the Roblox Creator Fund (formerly Game Fund). The ideal candidate is able to contribute operationally to all three of these pods, help manage multiple projects of different sizes and priority, and liaise with cross-functional departments as needed. To succeed in this role, one would help lift wherever possible while still eager to learn and grow on the job. The Developer Relations team overall is passionate and knowledgeable, and immensely welcoming to those who wish to meaningfully contribute to fostering and evolving our community.
You will:
- Project Manage: You will support a variety of developer projects and related content initiatives across different pods of the Content Team. This will include Developer Insights, Developer Partnerships, and Game Fund. This will be an opportunity to learn and understand how creators use our platform and to drive the creation of next-generation experiences that will grow the Roblox community.
- Provide production support and coordination: You will assist with production and support needs related to existing games and new experiences in development. This would include tracking project schedules, gathering and sharing insights, build Roblox Studio expertise, playtesting, reporting bugs and blockers, and supporting the developer feedback loop.
- Be a Financial/Legal liaison: You will help in tracking the submission and progress of NDAs, contracts, and project milestones.
- Assist with Partner Outreach support: You willassist in the outreach process to the developer community and new studios, including coordinating meetings, taking part in meetings with existing and prospective partners, and tracking communications.
- Gain experience with marketing, event support and planning: You will assist with marketing and event-related activities including coordinating with our comms and marketing counterparts, and take responsibility for the planning and preparation for developer related presentations and content showcases at relevant events.
- Learn analytics reporting: You will have the opportunity to learn from and contribute to the gathering of relevant analytics and data for each of the respective pods and reporting the results back to the wider team.
You Have:
- Pursuing a BA/BS candidate in Game Design, Game Development, or related focus.
- Graduating in December 2024 or later
- Ability to communicate cross-functionally across technical and non-technical teams
- Excellent time management, presenting, and problem solving.
- Awareness of game design principles and development stages.
- Knowledge around the developer ecosystem and how to effectively engage with content creators.
- Effective communication skills around analytics results and project outcomes for internal stakeholders and leaders.
- Familiarity with Roblox Studio and have hands-on experience (nice to have)
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual hourly rate could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Please note that not all benefits shown below are applicable to internship opportunities.
Hourly Pay Range
$33 — $35 USD
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
