Job Description
Responsibilities:
Consulting & audit
- Consult the product teams on various DevOps related topics; organize workshops where you will work together with the teams to improve the automation;
- Create a template library of pipeline steps that will address a set of common issues (building, deployment, infra-automation, security automation etc.);
- Audit the automation systems & propose improvements.
Education
- Build the DevOps community of practice, a guild that will help the product teams solve common issues;
- Organize and/ or create DevOps trainings and events for the community;
- Manage the catalogue of curated trainings;
- Present and evangelize new technologies.
Governance
- Define and maintain a list of standards & best practices in partnership with the architects;
- Stakeholder in the infrastructure modernization projects;
- Create and maintain the list of approved technologies for DevOps.
Research
- Help the teams to research, document and implement DevOps related tech;
- Tech watch & knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Hard skills:
- Experience with DevOps technologies, principles and best practices;
- Knowledge of Gitlab CI or Jenkins;
- Terraform or CloudFormation;
- AWS or Azure;
- Git, Docker.
Soft skills:
- Simplicity is the art of maximizing the amount of work not done;
- Understanding of the agile principles, especially the one above;
- Adaptable and empathetic with the needs of different teams;
- Good communication and presentation skills, public speaking skills;
- Solid organizational skills, attention to detail;
- Fluency in English - both written and spoken.
Nice to have:
- Tools for monitoring, quality & security testing;
- Kubernetes;
