Position Summary: QA Tester
- Fully Remote position working out of Quebec, Canada

- Working with an international team on AA or AAA games in an Unreal Studio
- Perform Functional testing on video games being developed for multiple platforms
- Provide assistance in Compliance testing of video games being developed for multiple platforms
- Work closely with development teams through all phases of development
- Be a part of a groundbreaking new global game developer and publisher, with a permanently remote team spanning 21 countries and counting (live where you want)
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily tests of features, levels, and full products as guided by your Team Lead.
- Isolate & Reproduce bugs and then introduce them in a database (Jira) while correctly assessing the gravity or importance of each issue
- Perform daily tests and be responsible for the quality & stability of the game’s features
- Perform Regression Tests and Fix Verification tests
- Perform Milestone validation testing
- Help maintain and update Test Cases and Test Plans
- Participate in team meetings with the developers to understand the requirements of the product and features
- Generate one-off software builds to test specific features, instructions provided by the development team
- Report directly to the QA Lead or QA Manager and inform them about the testing results
Required Qualifications:
- Desire and ability to work remotely from a home office
- Excellent knowledge of English both spoken and written
- A strong understanding of development processes and the needs of different departments throughout a development cycle.
- Knowledge or experience on gaming platforms (Xbox One, PS4, PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch)
- Proficiency in defect & test case management tools (e.g.: JIRA, TestRail, Xray)
- Minimal supervision during testing activities
- Be proactive and have good communication skills
- Must be able to work on a schedule that is compatible with the development team and company (currently based on US PST Time Zone)
- Must be based in Quebec, Canada
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience working directly with developers on their day-to-day testing of features in development
- Previous experience as an Intermediate tester in the following categories (QA, QC, Devtest, Compliance)
- Testing Experience on multiple platforms (Xbox One, PS4, PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S)
- Experience in releasing at least 2 projects
- Experience in writing Test Case or Test Plans is a plus.
- Knowledge or experience in Compliance testing (Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo) is a plus.
