Intercept Games is a Private Division/Take-Two development studio currently focused on the creation of Kerbal Space Program 2 (KSP2) as well as an unannounced stylized science-based adventure game. The Challenge
Are you a passionate games designer and collaborative team member? Can you work along alongside a small team to solve complex problems? If you said 'yes', this may be the role for you!
As a Content Designer for KSP2 you will work on fully functional and authentic vehicle parts that allow players to build and command rovers, planes, race cars, and of course rockets. This role collaborates with lead and senior content designers to create, update, and verify that parts are fun to build, work as intended, and interact with all game systems as expected, so players can build the vehicles of their dreams.
What You’ll Take On
- Design, develop, and deploy fully functional and authentic vehicle parts for KSP2.
- Collaborate with artists, producers, QA, and engineers to bring KSP2 to life.
- Learn how to simulate authentic space flight and develop tools for a game where there are many solutions to any problem.
- Advocate for design decisions across the team, with consideration for the overall game’s needs.
- Support the evolution of the design team by evaluating existing tools and processes for improvements.
- Support interviewing candidates to help grow the team.
What You Bring
- 2+ years of professional game design experience.
- Experience working on at least one shipped game.
- Experience working with the Unity Game Engine.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Clear and concise communication skills, with the desire and ability to work closely with a diverse team of peers.
- Ability to solicit and apply constructive feedback.
- Experience with, and a passion for, sandbox and physics games is great to have, but not required.
- Experience with post-launch service is great to have, but not required.
