Departmental Administrative Assistant (Contract)
*12-month contract
San Francisco, CA
We are looking for a dynamic Department Administrative Assistant to partner with the organization and collaborate with the senior staff members of Sony Interactive Entertainment’s software engineering team. The dedicated individual in this role will handle/lead all areas of administrative support.
Job Responsibilities:
- You will have frequent contact with all levels of the Sony Interactive Entertainment population and extended Sony Corp employees and managers.
- You will provide regular Administrative Support (Organizing Calendars, agenda planning, scheduling, travel planning, expense reports, event planning, report generation, etc.)
- You will greet visitors and escort them to meetings
- You will receive mail and packages
- You will lead other administrative projects as assigned
- You will help with social events on-site and off-site like office lunches, hackathons, all-hands meetings, etc.
- You will continually improve and effectively utilize software packages to produce the work and automate administrative processes without compromising work quality
- You will maintain a high degree of confidentiality/discretion
- You will serve as the knowledge base for everyone that works within the department
Qualifications:
- Bachelors’ Degree required and/or relevant work experience
- 2-3 years of administrative or relevant work experience
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office: Strong PowerPoint skills, Outlook, Word, and Excel, SRM, Concur, and SAP
- Strong social and communication skills (Written and Oral)
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a fun and active environment
- Detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks
- Aptitude to work independently on difficult projects with minimal supervision
Desired:
- Knowledge of company products, services and overall business objectives
- Interest in interactive entertainment and digital distribution
- Senior Management/Executive Level interaction
