Data Manager / Support Engineer [Snowdrop]

Job Description
The Snowdrop DevOps team develops tools and processes to make shipping games as effortless and pleasurable as possible. We’re looking for a Data Manager to work together with developers in all roles across multiple game projects to optimize the way we make games. You define and promote best practices, and you identify bottlenecks and problem areas and push to get them fixed. You perform advanced troubleshooting of issues in many areas.
As Data Manager you will build a deep and wide understanding of Perforce, as well as gain experience in many other areas such as the Snowdrop engine and editor, OpenStack, Grafana and ELK, Active Directory, C#, and a host of specialized internal tools.

Responsibilities
- Provide end-user support for version control systems, build systems, and the Snowdrop editor and related tools
- Identify patterns in support requests and push for improvements in tooling and processes
- Advise collaborators on management of source data, build artifacts, and everything in between
- Assist in maintaining and developing our build farm
- Assist in implementing DevOps Practices in supported game productions
Qualifications
You as a person
Being service minded comes naturally to you, and you might have experience in IT support roles. Flexibility and your proactive problem-solving approach enable you to deal with our evolving environment, whilst collaborating with a lot of different partners through the organization. You find great joy in understanding how things work, and you take every chance you get to troubleshoot outside of your current area of expertise. You are highly organized and gladly share your ideas on how we can improve everything from JIRA dashboards to user management. You are not satisfied until everyone else is, and until everything actually works. Besides the above we’re looking for someone aligned with our core values and the following skills and experience:
- Knowledge of version control systems
- Professional experience of 2nd line technical support/ helpdesk in a tech/software/game company or equivalent. OR has experience working as with QC in software or game development
You have either experience/ knowledge of or are interested in:
- Scripting/Programming; C#, Python 3 or PowerShell, to automate tasks like installation and configuration of required tools
- Virtualization (OpenStack, vSphere)
- Active Directory
- Perforce
