Magic: the Gathering, the world’s first and best-in-class Trading Card Game, is hiring a new Creative Outsourcing Vendor Manager!
We have an immediate need for a Creative Outsourcing Vendor Manager to support our flagship game brand, Magic: The Gathering.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in understanding and interpreting the details of creative vendor contracts, an outstanding ability manage a variety of different projects, a passion for details, excellent communication skills, and an affinity for artists and writers. Experience dealing with the challenges of an international business are a strong plus!
What You'll Do:
Under the direction of the Senior Creative Director, you will:
- Serve as the Creative Studio liaison with Finance Department (vendor invoicing/ payment, financial tracking), and with In-House Legal Counsel (contracts/rights and clearances/etc.).
- Lead creative vendor administration, build information resources, workflow process, conduct trainings, and provide 1:1 support when needed.
- Act as the primary contact for communication and coordination with external creative vendors regarding their contracts and payments.
- Maintain tracking on all vendor signup status and advise on potential issues with studio leads.
- Review consumer-facing materials and advise teams on contractual implications.
What you'll bring:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience handling contracts and vendors via Outsourcing and/or Business Affairs.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to understand sophisticated contracts.
- Strong plain-spoken, artist-friendly communication skills.
- High organization and responsiveness, comfortable fielding questions and requests from vendors and internal teams with markedly different needs.
- Outstanding time management abilities; capable of prioritizing and balancing multiple projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency with project management software and maintaining accurate databases.
