Roblox is seeking a Creative Director to spearhead our industry-leading creative and content. This is a hands-on role that's pivotal to delivering storytelling at scale, raising the bar across both traditional and digital creative deliverables. This role is part Creative Director and part Producer, collaborating with cross-functional creative and marketing teams, including live events and conferences.
As the Creative Director you'll partner with both the creative team and business partners. You will provide a vision, define project scope, develop timelines, manage budget allocations and internal/external resources. You will also manage external creative agencies and production/post-production vendors. Most importantly, you have the ability to motivate and lead those around you.
You Will:
- Direct and produce traditional/digital creative from concept to final deliverables while collaborating with internal design teams or external vendors
- You'll manage pod of internal designers and develop their growth
- Build relationships with external vendors and design agencies
- Act as the Technical Director for all A/V needs for conferences and in-person events
- Be the technical liaison for all product demos to guarantee a perfect execution for live events
- Investigate and develop new content creation models to increase velocity and open up new production methods
- Work with stakeholders and marketers to clarify requirements and deliverables when there is ambiguity
- Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and balance needs versus technical constraints
- Facilitate project-related team meetings (i.e., kick-offs, status, internal/client reviews), and communicates action steps to the broader team
- Ensure the highest standards are achieved and processes are optimized
- You'll report to the Global Head of Creative
You Have:
- 10+ years of experience producing high-touch video, motion design, and motion graphics
- Expert knowledge in shot composition, stage direction, and blocking
- You have managed projects through the entire production lifecycle: planning, creative, production, and delivery
- Forecasted and managed budgets for large and small projects
- Experience directing in-person conferences and multiple live events
- Expertise with industry-standard creative tools (Adobe Creative Cloud)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
