Jam City is seeking an exceptionally talented Creative Director, Marketing to oversee the marketing creative department. Applicants must have demonstrated deep experience building a creative strategy and program that ranges across digital performance marketing channels such digital display advertising and paid social marketing.
This role will own the creative strategy and vision across performance marketing channels to help accelerate the growth of the customer base for Jam City games. They will be responsible for building and scaling the marketing creative program and operation, testing aggressively, using data to inform design decisions and prioritizing initiatives. The role will also be responsible for helping to optimize creative performance against a multi-million dollar performance marketing budget. Success in this role requires a strong creative vision, bias for action, and the willingness to go above and beyond to help drive business results.
Responsibilities:
- Own the overall performance marketing creative strategy across our portfolio of games
- Continually inspire our marketing art team with a vision for how we are going to build the brand for each of our games games and develop creative ideas that transform our business and push the boundaries of creativity
- Roll up sleeves in flat creative organization to lead projects end-to-end — insights, strategy, concept, executions, pitch, production.
- Develop big creative ideas throughout the marketing group: everything from a major game launch, to driving new customers for our portfolio of games through digital performance marketing channels, to the next marketing push through offline marketing channels
- Uncover insights through performance data and use the insights to inform creative development for maximum relevance and impact
- Partner with game studio teams to communicate marketing creative strategy, progress, results and help needed
- Partner with external vendors (ad networks) to collect insights, best practices and consolidate into overall marketing creative strategy
- Be a thought leader on how mobile technology is fundamentally changing marketing
- Travel to game studio locations for collaborative work sessions (approximately 10% travel time).
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in a creative/design role
- 3+ years of experience as an ACD/CD or 2+ years working in performance marketing business
- 5+ years of experience designing and concepting for performance and brand marketing
- 2+ years of experience mentoring and managing a team
- Ambitious to leverage performance data to inform design decision making
- Visual storytelling and communication skills. Specifically, ability to articulate creative and strategic approach with experiencing in pitching advertising ideas
- Can articulate conceptual and design decisions
- Strong attention to detail
