Creative Development Associate

Job Description

CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT SITUATION AND OPPORTUNITY

The Creative Development team's overall goal is to craft pitches and presentations for new business opportunities. The Creative Development team will be at the heart of creative responses, either generating fully or supporting The Mill, regardless of brief, discipline, department or executional route.

Creative Development Team members will have core disciplines but the goal is for all members to grow, learn and develop skills and experience that can overlap, thus creating a broader more efficient and successful team.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As Creative Development Associate you are expected to creatively work on, and visually bring to life Mill creative responses. Develop and design creative responses across the Mill infrastructure and key services (e.g. Live action, Design, Experience & VFX, etc)

Self generate decks and ideas (design driven or creative thought) as well as collaborate with the team and client teams to push creative responses into new exciting territories.

You will work with the creative development team to develop Creative responses, concepts, and solutions, to a consistent level of creative excellence.

You should have a global approach to working across time-zones, cultures, and work styles that are a strong part of a big global company like The Mill.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design creative responses against the client brief, either solo or in a team.
• Determine the best look and feel for each presentation based on an existing style guide, verbal art direction or your understanding of the subject matter.
• Work collaboratively with the team to develop creative solutions in response to client briefs ensuring high standards of creative excellence.
• Work with your Mill colleagues to define the visual and creative approach to each creative response in terms of resources and efficient working practices.
• Learn as well as mentor fellow colleagues through your visual talent and experience.
• Provide creative support to the wider business.
• Confidence in working with a multidisciplinary team of artists, writers, producers, and executives.
• Keep a cool head and positive attitude when changes or conflict arise at the last minute.
• Be a critical thinker and problem solver in all aspects of your role

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience designing and being involved in highly successful creative projects.
• Knowledge and experience in image and visual research.
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
• Design skills with a deep knowledge of the wider artistic and creative world.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team on multiple projects at once.
• Some understanding of end-to-end production and VFX/CG, Design, and Live action production.
• Confident speaker and presenter.
• Sense of humour, we want the Creative Development Team here at The Mill to be a fulfilling and rewarding place to work.

• High competency in Google Slides primarily, but skills in Adobe programs, Keynote, Powerpoint, AI software, etc is beneficial.

SUCCESS METRICS / KPIs

• Producing & designing creative responses in a timely and efficient manner.
• Developing and gaining experience in other aspects of Creative Development teams roles and skills.
• Supporting and helping other team members in expanding their skills and broader understanding, in regards to the broader ambition of the Creative Development team.
