Description
As a Game Producer, you work with and lead a dedicated Feature team with Engineering and Product Owner partners. Using excellent communication and great project management, you will work with the team and team leadership to drive and report on development progress for the game. You have prior experience in game/software development and a keen knowledge of how each discipline operates and interacts. Being self-motivated, having the ability to anticipate production issues and find effective solutions are also critical to your success.
Key Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Create and track short and long-term schedules for game features and assets
- Supervise the team’s task management, maintain task lists, backlogs, and communicate deadlines
- Organize agile ceremonies, supporting the team’s stakeholders to prioritize the team’s backlog
- Develop, improve, and maintain processes for sharing game information, art, slot, and audio assets with external teams
- Schedule, lead, and attend meetings; set agendas; take concise and comprehensive notes and distribute them to appropriate personnel.
- Provide weekly reporting to production game leadership
- Collaborate with other producers on project status, identifying risks, and opportunities
- Maintain a risk registry for your feature team
- Contribute to a positive and constructive work environment with unrelenting follow-through
- Navigate team dynamics, understand how to resolve conflict, and escalate issues
Requirements
Required Experience:
- 1 to 3 years of previous experience working as a game producer or project manager, on a shipped video game or mobile game project
- Demonstrable ability to create, track, and maintain team schedules, and to drive projects to completion in a timely manner
- Skill to communicate effectively, correctly, and succinctly with key stakeholders
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to drive towards clarity; a strong collaborative problem solver
- Strong mediation skills
- Knowledge of software development and project management, including agile/scrum frameworks
- Jira dashboard, scrum board, and scrum report experience
- Experience facilitating effective retrospectives, incident management post-mortems, and reviews
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience in Social, Mobile, or Casino games
- People Management experience
- A passion for fostering development processes and best practices
- Experience with online games
- Expertise with Jira, Confluence, Lucid Spark, Trello, or comparable applications
- Experience as a Jira admin, editing or creating workflows
- Strong familiarity with Excel and SharePoint
