Contract Web Engineer, React

The Bungie.net team is looking to hire a Contract Web Engineer to work with our team of designers, engineers, and testers to build world-class experiences that support the Destiny universe. We are seeking a candidate that enjoys blending the best technical solutions possible with high polish, user friendly experiences.
Estimated Duration: 6 Months
During these uncertain times and rapidly changing environment surrounding COVID-19, all positions at Bungie are subject to onboarding and working virtually/remotely. Once the studio is fully reopened, most work is expected to be performed in-person at our main headquarters in Bellevue, Washington.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build to spec from polished, interactive web designs, while providing feedback and working collaboratively with design peers
- Account for cross-browser compatibility and responsive behavior, and provide feedback with that in mind before implementation
- Build out initial functional web content from wireframes
- Create and edit custom content within a Content Management System
- Participate in team’s agile rituals, alongside peers in design, web and services engineering, and test
- Collaborate with other web engineers on a single, functional flow or build independently
- Independently manage own task and bug backlog daily
- Self-test and functionally verify during and after implementation
REQUIRED SKILLS
- React.js
- Mastery of latest CSS and HTML standards
- Experience creating components for, and adding content to, a Content Management System
- Object-oriented Typescript/JavaScript development
- Working in an agile software development model
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
- OO language (C#, Java, etc)
- ASP.NET MVC
- Webpack / Node.js
- Test automation (unit test/functional test/performance and scalability/security)
- Web application security, performance, and scalability verification and tuning jQuery
