Sr. Android Developer (Contract/Temporary)

Wizards of the Coast, a subsidiary of Hasbro, Inc., and the world's largest publisher of adventure games, including Magic: The Gathering® Trading Card Game and Dungeons & Dragons® Roleplaying Games has an exciting opportunity for a Contract/Temporary Sr. Android Developer, hired through Tapfin, to work with our Live Operations Development team.

WHAT IS THIS ROLE ABOUT?

As a Contract/Temporary Sr Android Developer, your primary responsibilities will be developing native Android applications that enhance the way game organizers and players participate in events around the world. You will work closely with other developers, UX/UI designers, program managers, and a variety of internal stakeholders to create amazing and impactful mobile experiences. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on making an impact!

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience and expertise in architecting, developing, publishing, and maintaining at least one interoperable Android application in an enterprise setting.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

• 5+ years developing native Android applications; iOS experience is a plus
• Must have architected, developed, published, and maintained at least one interoperable Android application at scale
• Deep understanding of CS fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms
• Expert in Android SDK and Jetpack libraries
• Proficient in an object-oriented language like Java, Kotlin, or C#
• Experienced with XML, JSON, and RESTful web services
• Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Enjoys a good problem, and is optimistic and driven to find a solution
• Adaptable to change, dependable, responsible, and curious
• Values differing perspectives and points of view

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Training:

• BS / MS in Computer Science or equivalent degree or equivalent experience

Physical Requirements:

• Office environment, able to work on computer for long periods of time
