Contract Senior Marketing Specialist

Contractors in this role will work to produce and implement strategy for social media and influencer marketing by creating and deploying long term plans for campaigns in alignment with marketing initiatives. The Contract Senior Marketing Specialist will work with external agencies, develop creative strategies to implement across social media, will help Owlchemy Labs cultivate and grow a strong network of influencers for product placement and will work to develop partnerships with charity organizations we support.
Contractor will provide marketing services as directed by members of Owlchemy's Marketing team including but not limited to:
- Develop and implement social media strategy into the monthly calendars in alignment with marketing beats, telling interesting stories and building interest in our titles.
- Build long term social media campaigns that amplify our marketing campaigns to generate engagement with our brand.
- Develop performance metrics for individual channels; monitor regularly to understand effectiveness of strategy and creative, making continuous improvement.
- Manage our social media agency and oversee content development, performance and campaign execution.
- Grow a database of influencers and content creators across various platforms through research for partnerships and placements.
- Build relationships with influencers and secure paid and organic placements across various influencer channels in alignment with the marketing beats.
- Assist in influencer marketing by developing creative influencer campaigns and metrics for measuring and growing success.
- Confidently negotiate contract and payment terms for paid influencer integrations across multiple platforms.
- Work closely with our charity partners to build better relationships and find opportunities for deeper collaboration.
- Secure marketing opportunities with our charity partners including cross promotional social media, in-person game demos at charity events, and partner announcements.
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrated project management, organizational skills and excellent execution and follow-through.
- Excellent communicator across a variety of disciplines and levels.
- Ability to meet deadlines and communicate setbacks.
- A fast learner with a problem-solving mentality.
- Agency experience, working in-house at an agency or externally with an agency.
- Effective time management and project tracking skills.
- Able to pivot and strategize on changes in a quick and effective manner.
- Comfort and ability to lead functional and strategic discussions with key stakeholders to drive best outcomes.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Must have 2-3 years of experience contributing to or leading influencer relations within an agency.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- 3+ years of VR or Gaming industry experience
- Appreciation of puns (or at least the ability to groan at them)
- Experience with marketing strategic planning.
- Familiarity with Jira and Notion
