OVERVIEW
We’re seeking a dynamic, experienced Content Specialist to join our growing team. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the ideal candidate will be a self-starter who has been in the business of brand management, storytelling, and community building. We require an excellent writer/communicator and a motivated self-starter. This is an exciting role for someone who loves delivering impact! This role is based in New York, but will remain remote until Summer 2021.
Content Production and Management:
- Implement, manage and grow an integrated, cross-channel player content strategy including but not limited to social media, Web, onsite messages, push notifications, email, etc.
- Create high-quality, on brand content that engages our audiences and supports our goals.
- Curate opportunities for and manage our promotional calendar, liaising with internal teams for fulfillment
- Report on important KPIs including but not limited to player/channel growth, engagement rates, gameplays, revenue, etc.; use metrics to evaluate effectiveness in meeting our goals and adjust as needed to continually improve performance
- Develop and execute plans for displaying messages across our channels for higher visibility
Social Media Management:
- Build, manage and grow a Facebook community of avid Arkadium players, implementing best practices to keep the audience engaged and active
- Curate and edit appropriate content to share across social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube to increase engagement and reach
- Manage social media editorial calendar
- Monitor social content (tweets, videos, blog posts, etc.) to identify potential story ideas, trends, sentiment, and evolving hot button issues, etc.
- Report on important KPIs including but not limited to channel growth, reach, engagement rates, etc.; use metrics to evaluate effectiveness in meeting our goals and adjust as needed to continually improve performance
Brand Management
- Create audience insights, personas, messaging themes, campaign plans as needed and share with the team
- Brand strategy support, including the setting of style guides, brand guidelines, brand vision and value proposition for short as well as long term
- Ensure that products that fall under the brand resonate with current and potential customers
- Create and manage promotional collateral to establish and maintain product branding
- Conduct research to identify market trends, target customers’ preferences, and areas of competitive advantage
Requirements
- Experience in games and/or marketing to 35+ demographic preferred
- Excellent writer who can think and function creatively; experience with digital editing tools preferred
- Highly entrepreneurial with a strong desire to learn and grow
- You develop creative, unique solutions that address problems
- Proactive in offering recommendations, going above and beyond, and thinking 3 steps ahead
- You -and those around you- would label yourself as intuitive and naturally curious, and not shy about trying new things
- Highly organized with a keen attention to detail
- Experience working in a fast paced, team environment, with the ability to respond quickly to changing priorities and competently manage multiple projects at once
