Community Manager

Supermassive Games is seeking a Community Manager to work across all our games and studio. As Community Manager your role would be to nurture our existing community and create and moderate new spaces for us, such as Discord. You’d be the voice of Supermassive Games in channels like Reddit, Facebook groups, Twitch, YouTube and whatever comes next!
Working closely with the Social Media Team, you’d be sharing community sentiment and helping the team create content that our community loves.
This is a new role at the studio, with plenty of opportunity to define and shape. If you’re passionate about online community management and a fan of gaming (ideally with some experience of ours) please get in touch.
Role responsibilities:
- Manage, create and grow our Supermassive Games community across channels such as Twitch, Reddit and Discord
- Work closely with social media team to report back on community sentiment and potential content ideas
- Immerse yourself in our games so you can speak authentically to the community
- Interact and engage with our communities
- Be the first person to recognise issues that should be flagged to the relevant team.
- Customer support when needed – i.e. directing to publisher CS teams or dealing with studio queries
- Proactively researching and engaging with content creators and communities playing our games
- Moderating Twitch chats
- Moderating Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn lives
- Able to recognise toxic behaviour and act accordingly (ban, ignore, report, respond)
Requirements
Skills and experience required:
- 2+ years experience in a community management or very similar role
- Used to managing and nurturing communities
- Knowledge and experience using the main social media platforms – especially YouTube, Twitch, Discord and Reddit.
- Passionate about gaming and communities
- Familiar with Twitch moderation tools
- Strong written communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Organised: Able to record patterns, feedback, bugs, and presenting them in an orderly manner to the team
