What We Need
2K is looking for a passionate and self-motivated Community Manager to build the future of Community on mobile and be the voice of players for our new and exciting upcoming mobile games. As part of the mobile marketing team, this role will work a number of stakeholders to own and drive all community efforts for their assigned titles.
As an individual contributor within a multidisciplinary team, you will create and execute community marketing strategies for 2K’s new mobile titles and manage their growing player communities. You’ll develop and maintain relationships with key community advocates and influencers, grow the franchise followings, and engage with mobile game consumers online & through various social media channels. You will build systems to aggregate and action player feedback through multiple channels including via the App Store, Google Play Store, and via several key social media channels and online communities.
The role is inherently collaborative. Key departments that the role will interact with are the mobile marketing team, mobile ops, internal and external developers, and the console/PC community and influencer teams. The role is based in Novato, CA or Los Angeles, CA and reports to the Vice President, Head of Mobile and F2P Marketing.
What You’ll Do
- Create the future of Community for mobile games by building an impact-focused, data driven, player first Community blueprint that can drive measurable impact on player retention
- Brings deep knowledge of mobile game communities to foster, grow, and manage our community outreach, developing the ground floor relationships with our customers to create fans for life through compelling content creation, VIP management, and developing effective player feedback systems
- Schedule content and maintain social media calendar
- Report on game ratings and sentiment for mobile titles via the App Store and Google Play Store
- Work hand in hand with product marketing, user acquisition, product, and development teams to cultivate a large and engaged group of game advocates
- Regular reporting to the wider team on current community trends, sentiment, and channel performance; use data to inform recommendations for ongoing community outreach initiatives, messaging, and promotions to both existing and prospective players
- Act on behalf of our players and bring their voice into studio team discussions and meetings; ensure consumer sentiment, desires, and needs are understood and met through ongoing promotional support and the development of our products

You have an interest in and experience being a key contributor to player engagement strategies and will thrive on working autonomously on your portion of the broader marketing and product plan. You have the ability to distill complex projects into actionable items that can be communicated and assisted with when appropriate. Clarity of thought is a must. You should have a holistic view of the entire player journey and the impact of actions at various stages. You should be a solution-oriented, creative problem solver and self-starter with passion and enthusiasm for driving results.

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $90,000 and $135,000 per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
