Community Manager, Epic Games Store (EU)

Epic is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Community Manager to connect new or existing gamers within the Epic ecosystem with the amazing 3rd party games published on the Epic Games store. The ideal candidate will have experience building and engaging communities across different platforms from social (think Twitter, Facebook and Instagram) to gamer focused media like Twitch and they will have had first hand experience with eCommerce sites serving the gaming space.
Responsibilities:
- Engaging with our players across multiple genres and 3rd party titles
- Communicating across a wide host of different social channels and languages
- Being the face of the Epic Games store in the market through direct player communication, social media management, influencer engagements and the occasional offline event participation
- Providing feedback to the development and publishing teams on the community’s general sentiment, new ideas, and top concerns
- Identifying and building productive long-term relationships with key influencers across a variety of content genres and online platforms
- Improve community operations in regions outside of HQ by diffusing existing central processes and building new ones that enhance global collaboration and coordination
Qualifications:
- Great written and verbal communication skills (will be writing in communications channels and may also create content. Blogs, etc.)
- Experienced gamer, passionate about multiple game genres
- Well-versed in key social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, reddit, YouTube)
- Familiarity with content creator space (YouTube, Twitch)
- Ability to prioritize the high number of tasks that will always be on their plate
- Some direct experience managing a gaming community
- Experience creating content
- Knowledge about central community and communication processes
- Existing strong relationships with key publishing and development stakeholders
