Community Management Trainee

In joining us, you’ll be part of the PX team that manages player-facing touch points across our games. Our small but powerful team gets a lot done for our games, and works across our studios in Espoo, Stockholm and Copenhagen.
Whether engaging with players in our communities, acting as a crucial feedback loop for our games or making unique content for our players, there is always an opportunity to go above and beyond in making players feel part of a genuinely awesome experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and execute on game’s community strategy in line with the player demographic and platforms our communities exist
- Grow and nurture safe, inclusive and engaging communities as the game’s primary representative by being present and supporting player needs
- Learn to own the game(s) content calendar, creating and curating high quality content and activities in all community platforms
- Work hand-in-hand with product marketing manager for the game
- Be the “Voice of the Player” all the time, whether within the game team or in cross-functional meetings
- Adept with image editing tools
Who we think will do great in this role has:
- Adept at utilising social media platforms such as Reddit, Facebook, Discord, Instagram and TikTok
- Ability to process large amounts of information rapidly
- Native or near-native English speaker with strong copy creation skills
- Proactiveness with regards to jumping on opportunities and in general
- Great communicator internally as well as externally
- A gamer, through and through
We’d love if you have some of these:
- Being able to understand the general sentiment of a community
- Able to clearly communicate complex game ideas in relatable terms an average player can understand
- Video editing skills
Recruitment process:
- First round: You will meet the hiring manager and a senior Community manager. Before diving deeper into your skills, we want to know who you are and what motivates you. This is also an opportunity for you to learn more about Rovio and the specifics of the role.
- Second round: You will be invited to meet the PX team member(s). Our aim is to get a clear overview of your skills, how you would fit with our working culture, your ambitions and where we can help you develop.
