THE STUDIO
Carbonated is a games studio founded in 2015 by industry veterans who’ve built and run some of the biggest games in the world at companies like EA, Sony, Zynga and Blizzard. We’re aspiring to be a company where people want to spend their entire careers. Today we’re fortunate enough to be working on our own mobile game called MadWorld (a real-time multiplayer game set in a dystopian world).
Our culture is largely based around a shared love of playing and building games as well as continuously learning and experimenting together. Unsurprisingly, we're looking for folks who share our key values:
- Talent (you're a subject matter expert and amazing individual contributor!)
- Attitude (you want to win! sure, experience is important, but that’s only part of what makes a great contributor, great)
- Willingness to try new and sometimes experimental things (have to take some risks to ship something we're all proud of!)
DO ANY OF THESE SOUND LIKE YOU?
- Survival shooter games (Call of Duty, The Division, PUBG) are your thing
- Mobile games is an industry you know deeply
- You’ve grown a community from small to big!
- Love engaging with players every single day
- Interfacing between the community & dev team is something you’re comfortable doing
- Hard-working fast-paced startups (especially one taking risks for a new type of game!) is your jam!
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Grow the community: leverage your skills to work with the leadership team to grow and engage players and build a thriving community
- Plan and execute community campaigns: game videos, interviews, dev updates, polls, memes, live streams and anything our audience might be interested in
- Be the Community Voice: report on key metrics and aggregate feedback to make sure the dev team knows what the players are thinking
- Dev team interface: As a player-first studio, engage with the dev team to ensure players' voices are heard and integrated into the dev roadmap
- Social innovator: Stay up-to-date on latest trends and channels to grow and engage our community
WHAT’S REQUIRED
- Experience growing communities to thousands of active players
- Proven ability to create engaging content (by leveraging studio assets)
- You have strong image, audio & video editing skills (Photoshop, FCP, AE)
- Experience managing multiple mods, community leaders and streamers
- Ability to work and interface with a fast moving dev team
EXTRA STUFF
- You will be the public face of a videogame community … so there’s that!
- You’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves and really dig in to make a difference
- You’re comfortable working from home until we can get back to a cool building
INTERESTED?
- Awesome! Send your resume and cover letter to jobs@carbonated.com !
