The Position

Do you love engaging with players from around the world online? Do you have a knack for deciphering developers’ updates and turning them into bite-sized snippets of positivity? Do you enjoy growing, maintaining, and nurturing a community that’s free of harassment and unapologetic towards trolls? Let’s talk.

Systemic Reaction and the Second Extinction team are looking to hire a community manager for a maternity coverage period of nine months, with the possibility of extension. You will be part of the marketing team based out of Stockholm.

Your primary responsibilities will be maintaining and growing the Second Extinction community. Identify and activate relevant communities via forums, social media, live streams, and other available channels. The ultimate goal is a continually growing, healthy, engaged community where all members feel safe and have fun.

You plan your community initiatives in alignment with the overall marketing plan as well as development schedules. You act as a liaison between players and the development team, ensuring expectation management is handled both ways. Sometimes this means delivering bad news and handling criticism without losing your cool. Most of the time, it means having fun, showcasing Second Extinction, and working together with a committed and creative team that will always have your back.

Since we are a lean team, each role comes with a lot of responsibility and creative freedom, so we expect you to be autonomous and a quick learner.
