THE ROLE
Our studio is looking for a Community Development Lead who is incredibly passionate about making games and bringing exceptional entertainment to millions of players. You will be integral in building and overseeing the global community ecosystem for our unannounced multiplayer game. You will drive community development thought
leadership and game development insight to create a player-first ecosystem both in-game and through our online communities. You will partner with our top-tier development team and publishing partner from day one, supporting the studio in delivering a world-class multiplayer experience.
WHO YOU ARE
- You wake up excited about the games industry and pop culture and stay on top of industry developments as part of your daily routine.
- Seasoned community developer with experience leading and building communities for AAA game launches and live services campaigns.
- Excellent communicator who proactively drives and facilitates player and developer interests through multiple communication touchpoints.
- Keen investigator who doesn’t take feedback at face value, and digs deeper to provide actionable insights and feature requests for both our development team and player community.
- You have a deep knowledge and familiarity within the gaming influencer community.
- Energized by being an official spokesperson, enjoy public speaking, and are a natural storyteller.
- Avid gamer able to analyze gameplay and provide respectful development insights on behalf of the gaming community.
- You have deep knowledge of social media platforms and how best to use them to grow and engage millions of fans.
- Bring international experience with a deep understanding of the global player audience.
- You build strong relationships with internal and external partners over multi-year efforts.
WHAT YOUR DAY MIGHT LOOK LIKE
- Design and build the global community operations and strategy for our unannounced multiplayer game.
- Lead all community engagement campaigns and programs, inclusive of developer updates and roadmaps, as an official spokesperson for Firewalk Studios and our game.
- Partner with publisher to build and integrate 360 marketing campaigns for both pre-launch and live ops through our branded game channels.
- Partner with digital media team to build, execute, and track the success of community engagement programs across our owned community channels.
- Attend industry events, conduct live interviews, and represent our development team and game.
- Work side-by-side with development teams to drive engagement programs to prioritize community feature requests.
- Facilitate a growing, active ecosystem of influencers and content creators.
- Monitor community conversations and provide insights to refine development features and social engagement efforts.
- Partner with licensors to drive authentic brand engagement within the community and game.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven track record of success as a community developer on AAA game or entertainment franchises.
- Experience building and sustaining communities from announce through ongoing live services.
- Strong public speaking and communication skills, both verbal and written.
