Your Mission
As Communications Manager Southeast Asia you will support the Senior Communications Manager in developing world class PR and ambassador programs to drive player acquisition and engagement.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative but self-motivated leader with a proven track record delivering executions that drive a commercial result and tie to overarching Country strategic plans. You must thrive on high pressure deadlines and be able to consistently achieve results on time and within budget. Gaming/entertainment industry experience is highly desirable but not essential.
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Act as a regional expert on Southeast Asia media, influencers & community, and collaborate with the Senior Communications Manager, Southeast Asia & India in the development of strategies and executions that achieve the Southeast Asia communications objectives.
- Ideate, plan, manage and execute creative, local-specific content strategies that tap into the cultural zeitgeist of players in the Southeast Asia market and complement global strike plans
- Manage agency partners plan and execute campaigns aligned with the communications strategy.
- Engage and foster relationships with celebrity ambassadors/influencers, and their agents, to assist in creating compelling content campaigns across live streaming, VOD and social platforms.
- Develop local player and market trend insights and use them to create relevant campaign narratives and strategic recommendations for Activision Blizzard franchises.
- Stay up to date and help inform the wider team on all gaming, (e)sports, media & entertainment news, competitor campaigns and other brand campaigns to develop an insight to action approach to communications planning and execution.
- Support studio developer tours, events (physical and virtual) and partnerships.
- Manage reporting requirements for the region as well as track program budgets and invoicing.
- Prioritize work aligned to strategic objectives and meet deadlines, whilst balancing multiple projects.
- Actively engage and foster relationships with global and regional communications, marketing, production and studio teams to align on go-to-market planning and execution and influence positive outcomes for the region.
- Collaborate with the in-house legal team to coordinate contract negotiation and fulfilment with external partners.
- Manage core press office activities, including asset, merchandise and game code distribution.
Player Profile
Experience
- 4+ years of communications experience across video games, communications agencies, technology, or entertainment in Southeast Asia.
- Experience in managing a large set of internal stakeholders, external partners (e.g. 1st Party Partners, Agencies, 3rd Party Partners), media, celebrity ambassadors, influencer and respective agents.
Knowledge & Skills
- Equally left- and right-brained with analytical skills to evaluate program effectiveness, and strong creative judgment to recognize what’s on-trend/on-brand.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented problem-solver who thinks fast and finds solutions when others may see a dead end.
- Innovative, creative, strategic thinker who is motivated to execute exceptionally and work independently within a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
