Job Summary:
Crystal Dynamics is seeking a Communications Director to oversee brand communications efforts for the award-winning studio and its industry leading brands. They will be responsible for developing and driving the communications strategy across North America and Europe, working closely with global public relations, social media and influencer teams to support campaign priorities and goals.
Reporting to the Sr. Brand Director, this leader will work closely with the studio brand team to craft product-defining positioning and key messages, as well as drive global campaign planning. In addition, this person will be the primary liaison between the studio and the global regional communications team.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a brand champion for Crystal Dynamics’s games portfolio.
- Collaborate with PR, Influencer and social media teams globally to plan and execute best-in-class communications campaigns
- Craft the global communications strategy, as well as product positioning, key messages, Q&As and FAQs.
- Manage communications content calendar, oversee asset creation and timely delivery to communications groups.
- Identify studio spokespersons and oversee media training, develop game demos and allocate talent resources for press events.
- Collaborate with global PR, social media and Influencer teams on the planning and execution of press events, trade and consumer shows.
- Establish brand guidelines in partnership with marketing leadership
- Manage studio approvals for PR materials.
- Enhance the Studio brand to support talent acquisition.
- Develop, monitor and measure key metrics and KPIs to measure the impact and effectiveness of our campaigns.
Qualifications and skills:
- BA/BS in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, English or Journalism preferred
- Minimum of 4-6 years of related Public Relations focusing on video games, consumer products or entertainment
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Detail-oriented, self-directed skills including ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, including adaptability to fluid and last-minute changes
- Experience working across international business units. Strong cultural and interpersonal skills.
