Chief of Staff

Roblox's Chief Systems Officer (CSO) leads a team accelerating the processes to grow Roblox. Combining internal tools and third-party applications for People Operations, Talent Acquisition, Budgeting, Road-mapping, Business Analytics, and more, we envision an integrated platform that streamlines processes while providing employees and leaders with information they need to grow the business.

Roblox is hiring a Chief of Staff, you will report to our CSO. The Chief of Staff will partner with the CSO to make the strategic choices and daily operating decisions that go into building a hyper-growth multi-billion-dollar global company.

You have the analytical experience to work individually and with team members in a changing environment. You are organized and able to work on multiple simultaneous efforts. As Chief of Staff, you are comfortable as a sometimes public face of the CSO and more frequently behind the scenes in making Roblox, the CSO and other senior leaders shine. The Chief of Staff needs the confidence and competence to make decisions and the self-restraint to know when not to.

You are strategic, analytical, organized, and motivated. We are experimenting quickly to promote this transformation and as a result, we are in a state of constant change. The Chief of Staff is important to our success, as we manage the change, support our team in delivering on goals, and adapt our operations.

You will have broad impact as you tackle issues and resolve challenges. Your responsibilities include:

• Strategic Planning: Plan strategy and planning cycles, connecting different points of view to help leadership and product teams plan with the best possible business context. This includes timeline development, supporting teams to complete associated deliverables, and working collaboratively to prepare presentations. Lead successful Meetings for the Executive team and broader organization. This can include formulating agendas, guiding and facilitating the discussion, bringing together notes and action items, and following up. Frame problems and propose structures/models that help people better understand the problem and trade-offs
• Corporate OKR Management: Track and communicate OKRs, including strategic and team-level priorities, goals and metrics
• Project Management: Lead special projects. Some projects will span beyond the scope of the group, requiring cross-company collaboration
• Analytics: As trusted counsel to senior leaders, provide analysis on our operations and represent executives in certain meetings. Partner with other departments relevant to the team, including Finance, HR, Product Management, Marketing
• Communication: Draft team and Roblox-wide content, including email, slack and web. Develop presentation content for yourself and executives. Promote a spirit of collaboration and open communications.

• Written and oral communication skills that drive impact across multiple levels including executive leadership team, peers, managers and junior staff
• Highest level of ability to manage confidential information
• Come into our San Mateo office 3 days a week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays)
