Behaviour is looking for a particularly gifted and versatile Concept Artist to participate in the development of its game.The Concept Artist will work in a cooperative and interdisciplinary team environment to conceptualize the universe of the game.The ideal candidate has significant experience in conceptualization, design and illustration of a wide range of environments, objects, characters and architectures. An academic understanding of the form, structure, color and exceptional lighting and a particularly creative imagination are essential to the position.

In this role you will:

• Create digital paintings inspired for the marketing and production teams;
• Create sketches, studies and designs of characters, accessories and special decor elements;
• Create illustrations to be used in-game to assist in promoting cosmetics, events or other new content;
• Create environmental studies, atmospheric elements and screen overlays (paintovers);
• Communicate with production artists to clarify the concepts to achieve delivery dates;
• Participate in meetings to share ideas and knowledge, and undertaking research and gathering of data before starting a new task to ensure effective management and achievement of the objectives by identifying the graphic requirements of the game, by having on hand all necessary reference materials, including the art direction and the technological requirements;
• Responsible for designing and presenting the visual style of the game while respecting the artistic vision given by the Artistic Director;
• Create initial concepts from basic sketches, and then add the details required to reach final and specific concepts.

What we’re looking for:

• At least 5 years experience as a conceptual artist / Illustrator in production;
• Important illustrative skills, a good understanding of composition and posing and how to execute illustrations quickly;
• Experience with 3D (Maya, 3dsMax) software;
• Important skills in conceptual art with a good understanding of perspective, color, light and atmosphere and how to use them correctly in the reproduction of the concept;
• Be able to quickly express the vision in terms of linear art and color image reflecting the atmosphere, the composition and interpretation;
• In-depth knowledge of drawing software solutions; for example, Photoshop;
• Solid base for traditional arts, including figurative drawing, landscape, and illustration;
• Be able to work in a variety of styles and specific styles, also sometimes produced by another artist or artistic director;
• Able to work under pressure and sometimes according to dates and onerous deadlines;
• Unconditional lover of video games;
• The ideal candidate has previous and relevant experience in the field of video games, film or in an agency and understand the workings of creation of digital art;

Dans ce rôle, vous serez appelé à :

• Créer des tableaux numériques inspirés pour les équipes de production et marketing ;
• Créer des croquis, études et dessins de personnages, accessoires et des éléments de décor particuliers ;
• Créer des illustrations qui seront utilisés pour la promotion des personnages, d'évènements et de contenu ;
• Créer des études environnementaux, éléments atmosphériques et des superpositions d’écran (paintovers) ;
• Communiquer avec les artistes de la production pour préciser les concepts dans le but d’atteindre les dates butoirs ;
• Participer aux réunions dans le but de partager ses idées et ses connaissances, et entreprendre des recherches et de la collecte de données avant d’amorcer une nouvelle tâche dans le but d’assurer une gestion efficace et l’atteinte des objectifs en cernant les exigences graphiques du jeu, en ayant sous la main tout le matériel de référence nécessaire et en comprenant la direction artistique et les exigences technologiques ;
• Responsable de concevoir et présenter le style visuel du jeu tout en respectant la vision artistique donnée par le directeur artistique ;
• Créer des concepts initiaux à partir de croquis de base, ensuite ajouter les détails nécessaires pour arriver à des concepts finaux spécifiques.

Ce que nous recherchons :

• Au moins 5 ans d'expérience pertinente en production;
• Fortes compétences en illustration, une bonne compréhension de la composition dans un délai d'exécution rapide;
• Compétences importantes en art conceptuel avec une bonne compréhension de la perspective, de la couleur, de la lumière et de l’atmosphère et être en mesure de les employer correctement dans la reproduction du concept ;
• Être en mesure d’exprimer rapidement la vision en termes d’art linéaire et image couleur qui traduit l’atmosphère, la composition et l’interprétation ;
• Connaissance approfondie de logiciels de dessin tel que Photoshop ;
• Bases solides en matière d’arts traditionnels, incluant le dessin figuratif, les paysages, les arrière-plans et l’illustration ;
• Être en mesure de travailler dans une variété de styles et aussi des styles précis, parfois élaborés par un autre artiste ou directeur artistique ;
• Autonome, bon communicateur et un excellent joueur d’équipe ;
• Capable de fonctionner sous pressions et parfois, selon des dates butoirs astreignantes ;
• Amateur inconditionnel des jeux vidéo ;
• Le candidat idéal possède une expérience antérieure et pertinente dans le domaine du jeu vidéo, le cinéma ou en agence et comprend bien les rouages de la création d’art numérique.
• Capacité à s'adapter facilement au changement ;

L’Artiste conceptuel travaillera dans un environnement d'équipe coopératif et interdisciplinaire afin de conceptualiser l’univers du jeu. Une compréhension académique de la forme, de la structure, de la couleur et de la lumière exceptionnelle ainsi qu’une imagination particulièrement créative sont des éléments essentiels au poste.
