We are looking for a Character Artist to join our team creating AAA quality believable characters including sci-fi armors, humans, animals and alien creatures. This candidate is expected to collaborate brilliantly with developers and artists and show effective communication and incorporation of feedback. This role works in close partnership with the Gameplay supervisor, lead character artist, technical artists, animators and game designers.
Responsibilities
- Create top-quality character-related models and textures.
- Work closely with the Character Art Lead and Character artists to create believable sci-fi armors.
- Assist technical art and engineering in planning and implementing our art into the production pipeline.
- Work directly with the character leads to improve the production processes, tools, and pipelines for character creation, rigging and animation and rendering.

Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a Character Artist in a gaming studio.
- Self-motivation, good communication skills, and a great team-player attitude.
- Solid grasp of human anatomy and expression.
- Great understanding of next generation asset creation pipelines and tools.
- Experience using Maya and Zbrush for sculpting.
- Experience using Substance Painter or other core texture painting packages.
- Exceptional understanding of form, shape, structure, and silhouette.
- Excellent eye for light, shade, color, and detail in creating texture maps.
- Able to effectively collaborate with riggers, animators, and directors.
