The mission of the Business Operations team is to drive strategic and financial decisions by ensuring systematic information flow and operational efficiencies across the company. As a Business Operations Associate , you will be responsible for developing processes and tools to manage areas of growth such as our R&D pipeline. You will own high-impact cross-functional initiatives for geographical expansion and new game launches. You will create deliverables to be shared with key stakeholders and leadership to help grow our business.
As one of the first members of the Business Operations team, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of the function and the overall business.
What You’ll Achieve:
- Create and manage analyses of R&D pipeline performance to facilitate prioritization of projects and meet production targets
- Own corporate risk management by developing processes, systems and tools to mitigate risks and streamline legal workstreams
- Support investor relations activities by owning the preparation for Board meetings and due diligence for M&A projects
- Produce confidential financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders
- Lead competitive intelligence assessments to share learnings with the entire company
- Improve headcount planning processes and deliverables to account for future needs, constraints, and company goals
What You Bring to Pocket Gems:
- 4+ years of full-time experience in a finance, accounting, consulting or operational role
- A strong foundation in Excel and Powerpoint
- Expert interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a hands-on customer service mentality
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to work independently and drive improvements at Pocket Gems
- The ability to thrive in the unknown with problem-solving skills to recommend the best path forward in an environment where many solutions are possible
- Systematic approach with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally on building new scalable processes
