Blizzard Entertainment is seeking for an experienced business manager, IT and Security to provide direction and guidance to business partners, as well as to provide the ideal information technology (IT) and security solutions that meet the business needs. The business manager, IT and Security will bridge the gap between business partners and technology solution providers and is responsible for managing the delivery of efforts for key stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with business partners and acts as a liaison between IT service teams and our business partners
- Acts as an advisor to business partners to shape their strategy regarding technology and ensure they are aware of IT service offerings
- Facilitate large cross-functional sessions to gathers high-level business requirements and define scope with various stakeholders and partners
- Acts as the single POC for business projects and value to the IT/Security leaders and community
- Defines, prioritizes, and manages cross-functional program and project initiatives across the enterprise
- Provides details on cost, value, and opportunity to optimize IT initiatives and services
- Helps define and communicate new services to support business needs
- Participates in the development of strategic planning for both the business and IT/Security
- Communicates and collaborates to translate business needs into suitable IT/Security solutions and technical capabilities
- Acts as dotted line manager for local IT and Security resources
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field
- More than 10 years of project management or technical account management experience
- Relevant industry specific experience preferred
- Strong bi-lingual (Mandarin & English) oral and written communication skills to help create clarity and gain alignment
- Ability to distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements
- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations, resolve conflicts, and build positive and collaborative relationships
- Able to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to break down and drive highly complex technical projects into clear and achievable milestones
- Ability to manage technical projects from requirements gathering all the way to project completion
- Understands when to engage, who to engage and the appropriate method depending on the situation
