About the Role:

We are looking for a leader who will help us support the business through data. As the Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer for the Twitch Business Application Services, you will improve the customer experience by building technical solutions to help us better understand their needs.

You will need to be creative and have a passion for customer experience. You will help guide senior leaders of all levels in tech and non-tech. You will empower data-driven decisions through implementing principles of data mining, data modeling and analytics tools to establish and measure metrics for evaluating health of the business. You will extract and work on essential data to build data pipelines, automate reports and dashboards to communicate your findings and use self-service tools to support our internal stakeholders. In addition to leading analytical tools and reporting, you will provide experience and business analysis support.

You will demonstrate experience in developing reporting infrastructures and ability to work with business and engineering teams. You will communicate and with business owners to draw insights from data to answer their questions. You will report to the head of Business Application Services.

You Will:

• Be our expert on our data warehouse models, providing analytics to business end-users, while delivering high-performance data processing systems using cloud technologies
• Work with our users on requirements, goals and measures
• Provide input and recommendations on technical issues to our data engineering and software engineering teams
• Contribute to data design, data modeling and data extracts/transforms
• Develop and support complex analysis, reports and data extracts
• Lead meetings and presentations with all kinds of partners
• Build data pipelines: Manage data pipelines consist of a series of stages through which data flows.
• Drive Automation through metadata management: You will use modern tools, techniques and architectures to partially or completely automate the most-common, repeatable data preparation to minimize manual and error-prone processes.
• Manage compliance with data classification and handling guidelines

You Have:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Finance, or related discipline
• 10+ years of relevant experience in a BI Engineer / business intelligence role, including data warehousing, business intelligence, data visualization tools, techniques and technology, or experience in analytics, business analysis or comparable consumer analytics solutions.
• Experience gathering requirements, using business intelligence tools to extract data, create metrics, & build reports.
• Experience in ERP tools (SAP S/4 Hana) and finance warehouse
• Experience designing data models defining both logical and physical models.
• Proficiency displaying complex data in a simple format and to present findings / Experience with data visualization using Tableau, BusinessObjects, Quicksight, or similar tools
• Knowledge and direct experience with AWS technologies
• Relevant experience in enterprise data and integration management disciplines including data architecture, data integration, data quality.
• Experience working with a spectrum of NoSQL, RDBMS data stores like AWS Redshift, Athena, PostgreSQL and DynamoDB
• Experience designing data pipelines for data structures encompassing data transformation, data models and schemas. The ability to work with both corporate engineering and business service integrating analytics and data science output into business processes and workflows.

• Experience in CRM tools (Salesforce)
• Experience in security, privacy and compliant environment (SOX, GDPR, CCPA)
• Experience with integration platforms such as Informatica IICS or Mulesoft and accomplished in languages such as Python
