Partnerships and Licensing Manager at Kano
The Partnerships & Licensing team at Kano works across internal divisions as well as external partner teams to formulate, launch, maintain and maximize programs across the portfolio of entertainment, educational, government, and community organizations.
This is a great time to join the team as we are in the midst of developing new products and programs with multiple premiere global organizations launching 2019 and beyond, which this position will play a significant part in delivering successfully.
Reporting to the Chief Business Development and Strategy Officer, the Licensing & Partnerships Manager will be responsible for the following:
- Day to day primary partner contacts
- Internal liaison for programs managed
- Ensure delivery of partnership goals and commitments
- Coordination, generation and delivery of business updates
- Product & Marketing concept approvals
- Quarterly forecasting and annual budget generation
- Program performance reporting (POS, marketing, etc.)
- Existing partnership expansion opportunities
- Contract maintenance (renewals and amendments)
- Trade Show/Convention representation
The position will also be responsible for researching, identifying and securing new strategic partnerships for Kano including:
- Industry analysis and reporting
- New business strategy formulation
- Presentation materials generation
- Pitching to potential partners
- Deal term negotiation
- Contract Execution
- Ongoing program management
The current Kano portfolio of partners consists of Microsoft, The Walt Disney Company, Warner Brothers, Hour of Code, and various governments, amongst others. Kano products are currently placed in over 5000 retail locations in the US and key global markets. The Licensing & Partnerships team engages with industry leading global organizations, is the external facing representation of the company, plays a crucial role in the strategy and direction of Kano’s existing future opportunities.
Must Have
- Experience managing programs from concept through delivery
- Experience in identifying, pitching and securing new business opportunities
- Ability to work across multiple divisions (product development, marketing, finance, creative, retail, legal, etc.)
- Excellent presentation generation and delivery skills
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
- Early riser (overlapping with the UK work day)
- Keynote, Excel, Powerpoint and Gsuite proficiency
- Bachelor's Degree
Nice to have
- Professional or hobbyist coding experience
- Interest in the STEAM, maker, or learn to code spaces
- Knowledge of educational and government business models and practices
- Technical knowhow
