Role Purpose:


Reporting to the EMEA Marketing Lead, the Marketing Director Business Development, EXPORT is a pivotal role for the EXPORT region. The primary responsibility of the role is to identify opportunities and drive business growth within the EXPORT markets through a deep understanding of the region, and specific territory, cultural, commercial and product nuances.

The role will be based in London but will also require regular (monthly) travel to key Export markets (Nordics, Middle East, Eastern Europe, Italy, Russia as examples) in order to forge close working relationships with local distribution/commercial partners.

Alongside the external collaboration role, another crucial relationship will be with the Take 2 Sales teams who are also based in London. This element of business development and integration with the commercial operations teams will provide a partnership role to ensure an integrated sales & marketing planning approach.

Finally, this role will need to provide leadership within the overall planning, development and execution of all 2K’s marketing activities throughout EXPORT markets. Leading the team & to collaborate with 2K Analytics teams, Global Strategy teams and the 2K Global Go To Market teams in order to ensure that the marketing organisation delivers upon the overall business goals set for each product in the region.

As such the role demands a strong business leader who is able to communicate and collaborate effectively across a complex matrix organisation, both internally and externally, has proven credentials in a commercial and data-driven organisation, plus strong management skills in order to guide the EXPORT team and distribution partners to deliver against the company goals.



Core Competencies:


Business Planning – The role requires an individual who understands the drivers of business development and who has the ability to analyse and report on a range of commercial information (e.g. market data, pre-orders, sales forecasts, pricing/promotional activity, retail market trends); and then leverage that information & ROI analysis to recommend strategies for growth.

Budgeting & Forecasting– Growing the EXPORT markets for relevant products is a key business target and will require sales and budget forecasting, reviewing product marketing budgets, ROI/CPA planning, plus profitable lifecycle management planning. Where required, to collaborate with the EMEA marketing lead to help support the annual, quarterly and monthly financial planning process. Monitor and track all T&E ensuring expenditure falls within annually agreed levels.

Analysis & Insight – This role will have a strong reliance on data analysis. it requires an individual who can work with Global Marketing, Go To Market, Commercial, Analytics and other Cross Functional teams to recommend both business objectives for the region & also define the marketing & media KPIs for local Go To Market campaigns.

Strong Communicator – Requires the ability to have influence and impact within a matrix organisation both across departments and across geographies. Responsible for aligning strategic planning & execution across all 2K’s Marketing activities throughout local markets.

Managing People – Deliver strong direction and leadership to a diverse team of individuals, across a variety of marketing functions. Develop and retain the best talent to create a culture of effective teamwork & continuous improvement.

Go To Market Marketing – Ensure all local Go To Market campaigns are aligned with and deliver upon the Global Marketing Strategy and business goals. Be the local champion for territory and consumer needs to ensure the global marketing strategy and marketing assets are relevant.

Partners – Be the local lead point of contact for all First party, Licensor (WWE, NBA etc.) and other key partners. Ensure any global or regional partnerships are maximised within set contractual parameters, and any reporting/invoicing is tracked and delivered as required, and on time.
