Job Description
Ubisoft is searching for a Brand insight Manager for the Montreal branch of our Brand Portfolio Management Department located on 6 sites worldwide (Paris, Montreal, San Francisco, Shanghai, Malmö and Montpellier).
This team works in close collaboration with all entities throughout the company with 3 major priorities:
- Accelerate the development of our portfolio strategy;
- Align stakeholders on brand visions and roadmaps;
- Unify and develop our expertise in the fields of games, gaming market, consumers and marketability to better support our projects.
You’ll have a key role in supporting Ubisoft entities in their definition and improvement of the market strategy of several upcoming games, throughout each stage of their development from early conception to live operations, through a consumer-driven approach based on research and data.
In particular, you will help decision-makers answer the following questions for each game: Which market category does it belong to? How does it differentiate from competition? What is its primary and secondary targets? What is its potential in terms of acquisition, retention, and monetization? Where does it fit in the long-term brand strategy? And in Ubisoft brand portfolio?
Responsibilities
- Collaborate actively with all game stakeholders across Ubisoft to understand the stakes of the game with regards to the gaming market, the brand strategy and/or the whole brand portfolio;
- Produce an ongoing assessment of the market strategy of the game through a 360° approach based on all relevant internal or external insight, in collaboration with all the other experts of the department;
- Communicate your strategic analyses and recommendations to all stakeholders and make sure they are translated into actionable plans;
- Define the research and data roadmap which will support the game at each step of development;
- Use your expertise of games to foster the strategic reflection on our long-term brands and brand portfolio management and development;
- Contribute to improving existing methodologies and tools and create new ones;
- Manage a team of two Brand insight Analysts in their daily activities and coach them.
Qualifications
- Solid experience in brand management / brand strategy / market research or similar ideally in the entertainment, media/ tech industries, preferably in an international context;
- Excellent analytical, synthesis and communication skills with the capacity to interact with different levels within an organization;
- Prior management experience;
- Solid knowledge and understanding of the gaming industry;
- Bilingualism in French and English is required both verbally and in writing.
