Brand Director, London

We are CCP London – we’re seeking a world-class Brand Director to lead the studio’s brand and marketing efforts as we take online tactical shooters to new horizons.
This role will require a good understanding of the sci-fi genre along with a strong understanding of the gaming industry and competitor titles, as well as digital gaming trends such as F2P and freemium, online social, micro-transactions, and community building.
As our Brand Director, you will be responsible for helping to shape our unannounced game and bring it to market.
Day to Day:
- Drive consumer insights and research (including positioning, messaging, value proposition and target consumer) as input into the game’s strategic direction.
- Assist the studio in delivering compelling user experiences throughout the title’s lifecycle.
- Represent the voice of the customer internally to ensure we are making a game that players will love, engage with enthusiastically and tell everyone about.
- Refine and evolve the product positioning, messaging framework and “brand bible” to guide integrated marketing and communications efforts.
- Drive content marketing efforts, manage external agencies and work closely with internal project management teams.
- Define business strategy alongside the game’s Leadership Team, through marketing KPIs, pricing sentiment and its go-to market strategy.
- Own ongoing product marketing following the game’s release.
- Utilize the full array of marketing services on behalf of the title, including media planning, buying and optimization, corporate communications and PR, creative services, digital and retail sales, and trade and consumer events.
- Manage a team responsible for community building, customer lifecycle management, communication with players and media, sales/store management and 3rd party platforms.
- Own the marketing P&L for the title, encompassing product strategy, forecasting, pricing strategy, and revenue growth while maintaining brand integrity.
- Build and deliver the game’s launch plan.
About You:- Bachelor’s degree in a related subject.
- Strong track record in the games industry, having proven success in managing MMOs or other GaaS (games as a service) titles through their lifecycle – from inception to live operations.
- International/multi-territory experience.
- Full stack marketer, with an analytical mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to present insights and recommendations persuasively, in a compelling and easy to understand manner.
- A strong instinct for player and community needs, as well as the ability to back it up with data and analysis.
- Solid sense for compelling, relevant content and customer-centric communication.
- Ability to set strategy and vision based on deep, insightful consumer understanding.
- Strong planning and organizational skills; ability to juggle and manage multiple priorities under tight project deadlines.
- Proven ability to influence diverse groups of people to achieve desired results.
- Strong analytical understanding while operationally minded.
- High level of autonomy – a self-motivated and resourceful problem solver with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Demonstrable passion for gaming.
- Team player – highly proficient at collaborating with multiple cross-functional groups, including business & technical teams.
