As an Interior Architect/Designer at Ubisoft, you will be heavily involved in shaping the interior space of our three German studios. This role is located in Mainz, Germany.
You belong to the Property Management team, responsible for translating Ubisoft’s current and future development needs into practical solutions, anticipating and managing its buildings, infrastructure and real-estate requirements. From strategic planning, need analysis, research on building requirements, sourcing of providers to the final design of interior space, this team is taking charge.
In this role, you develop the vision and support the execution on various design projects within the German Ubisoft studios. This includes the assessment of needs, size measurements as well as the development of sketches and concepts. You are also working on technical solutions, develop layout planes, construction drawings, and engage in furniture, fixture and equipment selections (FF&E). Your goal is to always ensure a work environment that not only provides the highest conditions sustainable comfort, security and safety but also reflects Ubisoft’s brand and culture.
What you will do:
- Participate in need assessments and development of the vision + functional / technical program for the development of our studios’ interior space
- Evaluate possible solutions; making functional and creative recommendations
- Produce or coordinate 3D sketches; developing presentation documents
- Research and decide on products, materials and manufacturing techniques
- Create drawings and layouts, produce and revise technical detailed documents and coordinate with other teams (engineering, architects, graphic design etc.)
- Ensure compliance with codes and regulations
- Adhere to the concepts and standards which apply to all Ubisoft studios
- Participate in the production of tender documents, proposal analysis and contract negotiations
- Participate in the follow-up of onsite work, issuing of directives, approval of shop drawings and the management of deficiencies
- Participate in the development of internal protocols and standards
- Cost estimation and budget planning
Qualifications
What you bring:
- Finished apprenticeship in interior architecture or interior design (or comparable)
- Experience in AutoCAD and Sketch Up software
- Experience in Adobe suite (Indesign, photoshop, illustrator, adobe pro)
- Good knowledge of the MS Office suite
- Teamplayer mentality with a high level of service orientation
- Independent and proactive workstyle with a sense for consistency, decisiveness and effective solutions
- Problem solving and project management skills
- Strong communicational skills and fluency in both German and English (spoken and written)
*Experience in office development or in the realization of relevant projects of different sizes is a strong plus
