You are:

An experienced, client-focused, recording engineer who has a proven track-record engineering high-quality dialogue for film, television and video games. You are interested in delivering top quality dialogue for AAA titles alongside our development partners at studios like Sony Santa Monica, Naughty Dog, Insomniac Games, Sucker Punch Productions and Guerrilla Games and more…

As it turns out:

We are looking for a House Engineer based at our Sony Santa Monica Studios to join our award-winning team to create high-quality dialogue for 1 st and 2 nd party product development projects. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with some of the most quality-driven developers in the industry and on some of the most exciting AAA games in our world-class mocap and VO facilities for PlayStation Studios.

Responsibilities:

Engineering : Working with our House Engineer and Dialogue Team to engineer mocap and VO sessions and deliver clean audio recordings and assets to our various development partners and creative teams at our Playa Vista campus. The role includes technical support, trouble-shooting and rectifying any issues that the sound team encounters; assists the House Engineer with upgrades to audio systems on both the studio and mocap stages; and to perform mix and sound design tasks as necessary.

Communication Skills: Being a team player who is an excellent communicator is a must, as you will interact and communicate with internal partners throughout the PlayStation family, along with A-listed talent, development partners, engineers, and manufacturers to provide AAA-quality recordings, resolutions to various recording needs, and training to onsite staff.

Knowledge Sharing: Desire and enthusiasm to share knowledge on new industry technology and tools, and you will research, analyze and recommend system improvements across the department.
