The Maxis Studio of Electronic Arts is looking for an Audio Artist III with a focus on voice editing efforts to join the team to help us ship upcoming packs for The Sims 4. We’re excited you’re interested to learn more about how you can join our team and dream big.
Responsibilities:
- Edit, synchronize, and compose voice samples from recording sessions to compliment character animations
- Clean voice samples from unwanted mouth sounds and/or noise floors
- Implement voice samples in game
- Test, trouble-shoot, and fix in-game bugs related to voice
- Receive and apply feedback provided by team members
- Create audio specifically designed for our unique brand
- Always be looking for ways to improve audio process, technology, and tools for voice
Qualifications:
- 3 years of voice editing on game projects or similar audio editing experience
- Experience delivering final quality audio; either from a brief or starting with placeholder sounds in software
- Proficiency with standard audio tools (DAW, plugins, RX) and studio tools (microphone, compressors)
- Voice editing experience with expertise in relevant software packages, such as Logic Audio, Sound Forge, and ProTools
- Proficiency with both PC and Mac platforms, and comfort with custom tools
- Experience with Game Production and Design
- History of listening to and working with Voice Performance from the perspective of user experience
- Experience succeeding in a lively work environment
- History of having adaptability in a work environment, enabling work on multiple projects simultaneously and handling changing priorities
- Bonus Qualification : Max/Msp skills
- Bonus Qualification : Engineering voice recording sessions
- Bonus Qualification : A fan of Maxis titles and what we bring to players
- Bonus Qualification : Music performance skills, vocals in particular
