Associate Video Editor/Producer

POSITION SUMMARY
The Associate Video Producer is a human Swiss army knife, skilled in the arts of production editing, live streaming, game capture, communication, and when needed as a ninja. Versatility is key, a specialist in hardware and software. S/he will be called upon for video/audio editing, titling, compositing, game capture, rendering tasks, file organization and digital asset management, and will be required to collaborate (facilitate) with many departments throughout the company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Use discretion and independent judgement in creation and editing of digital video content for internal and external communication such as sizzle videos, mood pieces, titling, logo builds, pitch presentations, game trailers and behind the scenes/making of featurettes.
- Responsible for editing of game cinematic scenes and storytelling content
- Responsible for submitting, routing, and completing all approvals of video content with 1 st parties
- Capture, editing and archival of HD and SD game footage
- Create motion graphics, end slates, and ability to quickly process localization video requests
- File organization and digital asset management to ensure files are delivered on time
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- An eye for detail, style, and storytelling
- Must possess the ability to do quality control checks on own work and others for ratings board guidelines and 1 st party guidelines
- Must possess strong digital editing skills (knowledge of digital video editing, compositing) and motion graphic design software, hardware and techniques.
- Ability to work well in a dynamic team environment and be open to direction.
- Excellent organizational, time and priority management skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Online portfolio of work – is a must
- Professional level knowledge of (Expert knowledge of) the Adobe Creative Suite
- Strategic thinker
Assets:
- Additional background in multimedia video, film, or TV VFX is an advantage.
- Prior experience in game development is an advantage.
- Keeping up to date on cutting edge hardware and software development.
- Avid gamer, with proficiency with variety of games.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in Film/Video/TV
- 2+ years in video game industry
