Associate QA Analyst (Contract)

Epic Games is looking for an Associate QA Analyst to join our team as a contractor.

In this role you will work to ensure the quality of Fortnite Events by conducting base level test plans, test execution of individual features and proactively manage incoming defects.

You will interact with peers and share information across the team with QA members and appropriate stakeholders. The ideal candidate is passionate about games, dedicated and detail oriented.

Responsibilities:

• Test the functionality and usability of in game features and events within the Party Royale space
• Base level test planning and test execution
• Conduct functional testing with a focus on verification
• Detect, research and report potential and verified issues
• Communicate quality concerns with stakeholders
• Manage incoming defects
• Verify fixes are implemented correctly throughout the product cycle in both consumer and development environment

Required Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Experience logging defects in a bug tracking system such as Jira
• Experience with a test case management systems such as Test Rail
• Background that includes understanding technical troubleshooting including logging, debugging, and communicating with engineers to troubleshoot issues
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• An understanding of the software development life cycle and how QA applies throughout that cycle

Preferred Qualifications:

• ISTQB Foundations Certification
• Experience identifying gaps in test coverage
• Experience working on a live product
• Experience working with external testing teams
• Experience working with Unreal Engine 4
