The Story & Franchise team is seeking an Associate Producer to assist our talented Creative Development department. You should have excellent interpersonal skills, highly organized, and superior communication skills. This is a Temporary position.

Covid-19 Hiring Update: We’ve transitioned to a work-from-home model and we’re continuing to interview and hire during this time. This role is expected to begin as a remote position. We understand each person’s circumstances may be unique and will work with you to explore possible interim options.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall support as needed for the Story department, which includes the writers and directors. You will be partnering with the Cinematic Directors Supervisor and Writing Department Producer to ensure that both teams have the proper support on all active projects
- Oversee the writing development process on Blizzard’s 2.5D cinematics, which includes casting talent, managing the schedule, coordinating meetings, and tracking deliverables
- Collaborate with game teams and internal production stakeholders to ensure story stays on track with game’s creative goals and overall schedule
- Support the directors on all aspects of story development including setting meetings, maintaining assignment schedules, driving milestone check-ins, and communication across departments.
- Align with the Writing Dept Producer to ensure that writers are fully tasked and have a balanced workload
- Coordinate with the Books team producer to ensure the writing schedule also reflects any publishing assignments that our writers are working on (novels, comics, etc). Follow-up with writers on their specific deliverables
- Attend all required creative development meetings and/or editorial reviews and when required, take concise and comprehensive notes and distribute them to internal/external stakeholders
- Have the ability to step into more senior producorial duties as needed and provide coverage for Writing Department producer
- Help with Film Festival and Award submissions for Story & Franchise
- Manage the daily schedule for the Director of Story
Requirements
- Experience using Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word programs
- Experience working with artists and art teams
- Excellent communication and written skills
- Persistent self-motivation and initiative; hardworking “can-do” attitude is necessary
Pluses
- Knowledge of Final Draft, Shotgun, Photoshop, StoryboardPro, Flix
- Prior familiarity of Blizzard franchises and it's expanded universe
