Associate Outsourcing Producer

An Associate Producer on Gearbox’s Production Team is a critical role working directly in the trenches with developers on a project. This role operates alongside the Outsourcing Manager to ensure outsourced assets are being accounted, tracked, and assisting in the creation and follow-through of tasks between external and internal developers. The Associate Outsourcing Producer will join our expanding external and outsourcing team working directly with the Outsourcing Manager. A Producer at Gearbox is committed to making the game creation process easier for their team and the broader company.
Specific Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal development teams to ensure accurate and thorough accounting of any outsourcing requests for all projects in development
- Possess a general understanding of cost assessments and budgetary restraints and ramifications that arise from project requests
- Assist Outsourcing Manager coordinate and facilitate communication and interaction between contractors and developers
- Represent the Outsourcing Manager or Senior Managing Producer over external efforts in conference calls and other platforms of communication
- Willingness to travel and attend conferences or external developers as needed
- Monitor tasks that relate to outsource development and ensure proper communication and feedback is happening between internal development and external developers
- Support Outsourcing Manager in any day to day needs- communication, identifying and resolving blockers, scheduling/coordinating/representing in meetings, creating tasks as needed, etc…
- Proactively identify areas of need and coordinate with stakeholders to ‘make it happen!’!
- Update/Create Confluence and other documentation formats that could be integral Outsourcing
- Ensure qualitative, quantitative and technical requirements requested by developers are accurately delivered by outsourcers
- Guide and act as a sanity check for internal developers to provide all pertinent information for outsourcers to do their work
- Attend regular production meetings and participate in Production Roundtables where the production team across the studio is committed to constantly improve

Requirements
- Direct experience coordinating and/or managing asset creation efforts in AAA game development (externally and/or internally)
- A strong understanding of schedules, pipelines, and dependencies developing games
- Fluent or able to use Perforce (or other source control)
- Willing to navigate Unreal Engine 4 as necessary to help get the job done
- Exercise strong JIRA skills and leverage how it can be applied to help organize and track efforts
- Experience creating and/or maintaining spreadsheets or schedules in order to forecast efforts, identify risks, and provide status updates
