Associate Narrative Technical Director

Responsibilities:
- Guide design and implementation for narrative tools, systems and features
- Work closely with the Narrative Director, Lead Writer, and design department to support the narrative and gameplay being informed by and in service of each other
- Lead, manage and grow the narrative design team to meet the needs of the project
- Design and build the dialogue tool, content management system and pipeline into our game engine
- Design and build our localization pipeline
- Define and support best technical practices relating to narrative technologies throughout the team, including supporting next-generation AAA story-driven gameplay through a narrative experience that is reactive to the state of the world
- Collaborate with technical stakeholders in design, audio, engineering, animation, and art
Requirements & Skills:
- 8+ years working in game design on narrative-driven projects
- Demonstrable experience working throughout all key stages of production, from conceptualization to commercial release
- Experience with text-based programming and scripting languages (e.g. C++, C#, Python)
- Knowledge of Unreal Engine a plus
- Significant experience managing and working with a narrative design team
- Proven ability to work with and influence a large, multi-disciplinary team
- Prior experience working on AAA game titles or film/TV projects of equivalent scale
- Possess an extensive portfolio of high-quality published projects

TNM considers a number of factors when determining each role's base pay range, including industry benchmarks, location, experience, and other job specific skills. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for other incentive compensation including equity and profit share. The estimated base pay range for this role is U.S. only and not applicable for locations outside of the U.S.

The estimated base pay range for this role is: $180,000 - $260,000
