Destiny Associate Franchise Editor (New Grad / Early in Career)

Bungie is looking for a creative and collaborative wordsmith to support our editorial efforts for the Destiny 2 universe.
You do it all. Equal parts heart and brain, arts and science. Start the morning off in a standup to ensure editing interests are represented in project closing. Head back to your desk and send feedback on names for the gun of a mythohistorical space paladin. Meet up with production to align on what in-game lore you’ll be covering this release. Sit in on recording sessions to ensure parity between the written and spoken word. Maybe touch up the sweaty-toothed ravings of an intergalactic warlord before calling it a day.
But you can't do it alone. Your role is interdisciplinary and interactive in the extreme. As Associate Franchise Editor, you will grow as part of the connective tissue between Narrative, Dialog, Cinematics, Editorial, Localization, and more—all of the teams at Bungie that work together to create our stories.
NOTE: Eligible applicants must be graduated from a college, university, or related program within 12 months, or planning to graduate this year, or moving from primarily learning to primarily working within 12 months or transitioning from one craft, function, or discipline to a new one
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide content and copy editing coverage for all forms of public-facing text
- Assist narrative leadership in the creation and upkeep of authoritative documentation in the form of lore bibles, style guides, glossaries, etc., as well as document-control best practices
- Ensure franchise content across all in-game channels adheres to the established voice of the Destiny universe
- Aid in the quality evaluation of copyediting vendors
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Ability to deliver AAA quality content under tight deadlines
- Masterful command of the English language—composition, grammar, style, etc.
- Excellent communication skills and high emotional intelligence
- High attention to detail
- Commitment to iterative improvement
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
- B.A. in English, Creative Writing, Communications, or a related field
- Experience working with external vendors
- Proven record of collaboration in highly interdisciplinary environments
- Interest and knowledge of games
